Lifestyle Courses

Bringing out the Scholar in your best friend

Scholars in Collars classes are different in quite a few ways...

Our unique approach to group dog training means both you and your dog are set up with skills for life.
Absolutely tiny class sizes
Our lifestyle courses are definitely intimate in size – our ratio is one qualified instructor for every two dogs, and our courses are capped at four dogs with two instructors. This allows us to personalise our training to meet your individual needs; it’s as good as private training, just with a little extra company!
Field trips for every course
Sure, good behaviour in the classroom is nice, but great behaviour in the real world is even better. All of our lifestyle courses are built around real-world scenarios, and each lifestyle course has its very own field trip in the Adelaide Hills.
A focus on your lifestyle
We all have different lifestyles and therefore different needs for our dogs; you won't find generic bland training when you train with us! Only register for the courses that interest you, allowing you to create your desired Scholar by attending the courses that best suit your lifestyle. No time wasted when you're focusing on your needs.
You won't get lost in the crowd
Because there isn't one! With one qualified instructor for every two dogs in class, you'll never feel left behind. Large groups with one trainer? No thanks! We prefer quality over quantity.
Highly qualified instructors
All Scholars in Collars instructors are highly credentialed professional dog trainers, with the added bonus of many years of experience and knowledge. You should never substitute qualifications for experience when seeking the best for your dog. We share a dedication to continued professional education, positive training results, and positive training experiences – for you and your dog!
All positive training
Advances in canine behavioural science has given us modern, force-free training methods that are effective, fun and stress free for dogs and humans alike – given we know better, we do better! We treat man’s best friend just as you'd expect; with kindness and compassion and don't rely on intimidating tactics to get results (what kind of best friend does that?)

Please note: Your dog must be friendly around unknown people and dogs to attend our highly interactive classes. If you are unsure, or your dog is uncomfortable, stressed or over excited around unknown dogs or people we can organise a private training session together prior to enrolment to help you with the skills needed to join group training.
